BIOGRAPHY

Willow Rector is a visual artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba who graduated with degrees in English Literature from the University of Winnipeg (1994) and the University of Manitoba (2001), and who was a participant in the MAWA Foundation Mentorship Program in 2011-12. She has recently been awarded a Craft Grant and a Deep Bay Residency from the Manitoba Arts Council, as well as an Individual Artist Grant from the Winnipeg Arts Council. Her current work focuses on mixed media explorations of subjectivity and the Canadian landscape, and will appear in a solo show at Gallery 1C03 at the University of Winnipeg in September 2014.
